Pike liner (refurbished)

This Mike Pike liner was bought second hand. 
when I received it it had some alterations done to it that didn’t look like they were done by the original builder. 

one of those was a coin on the spring shelf that was used to prop up the springs to make room for the coils. Which suggests that the coils may not have been original.

one other thing I noticed was the rear coil had been filed down to again to  try and squeeze it in so it wouldn’t touch the armature. 

I replaced the coils with pure iron hand wound 10 layer coils accompanied with a 33uf sprague capacitor. The new coils now fit perfectly without the use of a propped up armature bar. 

I also replaced the armature bar with a National one  

I added national spring stock which I altered so the machine would run how I wanted it to. 

The only thing original on this build is the frame itself by Mike Pike. 

It is set to be an everyday liner for a range of needle groupings up to 9rl.
